| -Due to using so many snow days, the In-service day scheduled for Friday, January 16 has been cancelled. It will become a full day of school for all students. |

-The 6th Grade Blue Team BizTown trip will be Tuesday, January 13, 2009, same times as original date. |

| -January Board Meeting - Monday, January 12, 2009 - 6:00 P.M. |

| -Wednesday, January 14 - 6th Grade Chorus and WAMS Bell Choir Concert will be held in the Middle School Cafeteria beginning at 7:00 PM. |

| -Friday, January 23 - 6th Grade Dance (3:00 - 5:15) and 7/8 Grade Dance (7:00 - 9:00 ) will be held in the middle school cafeteria. |

| -Tuesday, January 27 - 6th Grade Band Concert (Open House) will be held in the Middle School Cafeteria beginning at 7:00 PM |

| -A reminder to all students to take advantage of the Breakfast Program available at the Middle School Cafeteria. Hot breakfasts have begun. The price is $1.50. Breakfast is served until 8:05 a.m. |

Student Absences
To report a student absent, between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m.--
Please include: your name, student's name, date and reason for absence.
If you have children in more than one building, each building must be contacted. For more information, please see Parent/Student Handbook |

| - If you are going to pick up a student from school at dismissal time, you must send a note with your child. If someone else is picking up your child, please state so in note. If we do not have a note, the student will be placed on their bus home. |
