Sixth Grade Students to Experience Biztown
WAMS Grade 6 students will attend JA BizTown on December 9, 10 and 11. Junior Achievement BizTown is an experiential, hands-on program encompassing important elements of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. The sixth graders will spend a day operating a simulated city’s commerce as business owners and employees, offering public and private goods and services. This opportunity helps student to understand the connection between academics and real-world living.

Accreditation for Growth Visit
The Wallenpaupack Area High School completed a successful Accreditation for Growth (AFG)/ Middle States Association visit between October 14 and October 17. The district is awaiting AFG's final report which should be completed by the end of November. The AFG process is an ongoing one that certifies and endorses a school's committment to improving student achievement. |
