Welcome from the Superintendent

Welcome to the 2011-2012 School Year!

Our staff, parents, students, volunteers and community are committed to our success.  Because of this commitment, I am pleased to report that the Wallenpaupack Area School District made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for the 2010-2011 school year.

During the 2011-2012 school year, the district's Strategic Plan will continue to guide us as we strive to prepare our students for the opportunities and challenges of the 21st Century.  We, as a district, remain committed to our mission:  "to provide an educational environment that promotes excellence for all students, thereby developing life-long learners who are responsible citizens".  Decisions from the district level to the classroom level are guided by the goals and objectives laid out in the Strategic Plan.

We continue to ensure that we have highly qualified teachers in every classroom.  Teachers and administrators continue to develop and implement a rigorous curriculum and to provide the resources necessary for student success.  Parent and school communication is enhanced by the implementation of PowerSchool and the parent portal.  The parent portal provides timely access to student information - information is always at your fingertips.  Home / school communication supports our students' learning experiences.
